1.) DRESS IT UP!

There’s no such thing as dressing up too much for your engagement photos. Be sure to ask your photographer for styling advice and follow their advice! Photographers have a very specific style & they understand what does and doesn’t photograph well with their editing style. This includes not only the type of clothes you wear, but also the COLORS.

*cough cough* I email all my clients a style guide to prepare them for their portrait session!

2.) PROFESSIONAL HAIR & MAKEUP

Confidence is key! Having your hair and makeup done professionally will not only enhance how you look during your engagement session, but it will skyrocket your confidence. A Neutral glam look with hair down and curled is always a safe bet.

3.) Location Is Everything

Besides an amazing photographer, the location for your session can be super important in the final outcome of your images. Be sure to ask your photographer for location recommendations that suits their editing & style.

4.) Relax And Have Fun

If you have any insecurities or concerns, it’s best to consult your photographer directly about them to help ease any worry. Show up with a positive attitude and ready to have a great portrait session. Theres no better way to take a break from wedding planning than having your engagement photos taken!

5.) Make It Personal

I always recommend to bring your true selves to your engagement session. Are you goofy? Are you more serious? Be sure embrace it during your session!
